This vintage Tokheim “Explorer” gas pump was manufactured by the Tokheim Manufacturing Company and appears to be part of the Tokheim 952 series, a model commonly used at American service stations during the mid-20th century. The pump features a steel body with stainless trim, mechanical “This Sale” and “Gallons” counters, and an illuminated “UNLEADED” canopy topper. The blue face panel displays the iconic red eagle logo used by Union Oil Company for its Union 76 stations, making it a recognizable piece of American petroleum and roadside history. The internal pump mechanism remains inside the unit, adding to its authenticity as an original service station fixture. The pump retains its original hose, though the nozzle is not present.
