Description :
This is a vintage steel strike plate measuring 3 ⅞ inches long by 1 ¼ inches wide. It features a rectangular mortise cutout with two countersunk screw holes. The back is stamped “1456 RH”, identifying the model and indicating it was designed for a right-hand door latch. The strike plate has a silver-toned finish, now showing wear, scratches, and traces of old paint, with some bending visible from long use. Despite this, it remains solid and functional. A durable piece of mid-20th-century architectural hardware, ideal for door restoration, period-appropriate replacements, or salvage projects.
