Vintage Industrial Soapstone Lab Table Slab – 74 ½"
Out of stock
Description :
This salvaged soapstone slab likely originated from a mid-20th-century laboratory or industrial setting. Measuring 74 ½" long by 12" wide and 1 ¼" thick, it retains the distinct deep gray tone and soft matte texture characteristic of aged soapstone. Subtle markings and etched ID stamps ("PC 5", "FO 113461", "RM 1F2") add to its provenance and charm. Soapstone’s naturally dense, non-porous qualities made it ideal for chemistry labs, and this piece could be easily repurposed as a floating shelf, coffee bar top, or sculptural counter. It shows signs of wear, minor scratches, and surface residue consistent with industrial use, adding authentic character to any build or reuse project.
