Description :
This vintage scythe features a long, gracefully curved steel blade securely attached to a hand-shaped wooden snath. The snath (handle) retains both original offset grips, designed for ergonomic mowing of tall grass or field crops. The blade shows rust and use wear typical of fieldwork, while the wood has aged beautifully with natural weathering and patina. This tool, once essential for haymaking and clearing land, now stands as a striking piece of agrarian history—suitable for display, restoration, or historical demonstration.

Early-to-Mid 20th Century
