This rare 1925 Standard “Tiffin” vitreous china toilet tank and lid represents an early example of modern American bathroom manufacturing — solid, elegant, and built to last a century. Both pieces are stamped with the original date mark “MAY 27 1925” and “Made in United States of America”, alongside the factory name “Standard – Tiffin”, referring to the Tiffin, Ohio plant of Standard Sanitary Manufacturing Company (later part of American Standard). The tank includes its original floral ceramic flush handle, a charming and uncommon detail from the 1920s, where decorative porcelain handles briefly trended in upscale residential and hotel fixtures. Inside, the original internal mechanisms are partially intact and can serve as reference for restoration or display.
