Description :
This reclaimed Gothic church pew modesty screen, also known as a pew frontal, measures approximately 122" W x 32" H x 5 1/4" D and is crafted from solid poplar. Featuring carved Gothic arch tracery beneath a rounded top rail, this panel was originally installed in front of the first row of pews or along the choir section to conceal bench framing while creating a finished architectural presence within the sanctuary.
The dark stained finish shows visible wear, surface scratching, minor edge loss, and natural patina consistent with decades of ecclesiastical use. The reverse side reveals traditional vertical board construction and original joinery. Its substantial length and carved detail make it well suited for repurposing as a headboard, feature wall installation, hospitality backdrop, or architectural divider.
