These are a matched pair of vintage Russwin backplates from the “Lenox” line, measuring 8" tall by 2½" wide. They feature a simple beveled edge design with two mounting holes at the top and bottom, a central knob hole, and a smaller lower hole for the lock cylinder or thumb turn.
Stamped “LENOX” and “902½” on the back, along with the Russwin name, these plates are cast metal with a plated finish. The finish shows age-related wear, paint remnants, and minor surface scratches, adding to their vintage character.
