Jeff Chiplis "CHAIRtable" Illuminated Art Table (2014)

Description : "CHAIRtable" is an original, one-of-a-kind functional art piece created in 2014 by Cleveland artist Jeff Chiplis. This sculptural table features large, custom-made aluminum letters spelling "CHAIR," each fitted with white argon lighting behind a vibrant blue plastic front. The individual letters can be rearranged in any order, allowing the owner to customize the table's appearance and explore different configurations. A circular glass tabletop rests above the letters, creating a functional surface while showcasing the sculptural construction beneath. The combination of illuminated lettering, industrial materials, and interchangeable arrangements makes this an interactive work of contemporary art. The glass tabletop has a repaired 2" chip, and the piece shows signs of previous use. Originally priced at $999, "CHAIRtable" offers a distinctive combination of artistic expression, creative design, and functional furniture.
