Description :
This antique surface-mount mortise lockset includes the lock body and strike plate, both featuring a worn black enamel finish over cast iron. With a 2 ⅜" backset, the lock body measures 3 5/16" wide x 3 3/16" tall x ¾" thick, a standard size for early 20th-century interior door hardware. The spindle hub and keyhole are intact, though the locking mechanism is untested and may require lubrication or restoration. Its rectangular beveled strike plate completes the set. This unit is ideal for period-authentic restorations or repairs of vintage doors, especially in Craftsman, Colonial Revival, or farmhouse settings.
