Antique National Vulcanized Steamer Trunk – Brass Hardware <br>

Description : Early 20th century National Vulcanized fiber steamer trunk featuring black vulcanized exterior panels, brass-tone reinforced corner hardware, riveted construction, and original interior lift-out tray insert. This large travel trunk retains its original side handles, decorative hardware, and embossed locking assembly marked “Long Lock.” Interior surfaces remain clean and usable with light spotting and age-related wear. Exterior shows heavy patina, scratches, oxidation, finish loss, and cosmetic wear consistent with long-term travel and storage use. The lock mechanism is broken and appears incomplete, making the trunk best suited for decorative storage, restoration, retail display, or repurposed furniture use. A strong example of early American travel luggage with authentic industrial character and preserved original detailing.
