Description :
This antique mortise lock body features a square spindle hub, brass faceplate, and standard keyhole. With overall dimensions of 3¾" wide x 3¾" tall x 3⅜" deep and a 2½" backset, it is designed to fit older wooden doors where full-mortise locks were the standard. The lock case is cast iron or pressed steel with black enamel finish, and the faceplate is brass, exhibiting a worn patina from years of use. While the internal mechanism is untested, the visible components suggest it remains restorable or usable for period-accurate replacement.
