Hurry up, only 1 item left in stock.
Description : Matching pair of salvaged wood cabinet doors with clear leaded glass panels and a geometric diamond pattern. Each door retains its white painted wood frame, hinges, latches, and clear faceted glass knob. The pair shows substantial age-related wear, including chipped and peeling paint, surface marks, and areas of exposed and deteriorated wood along the lower rails and corners. The decorative glass appears substantially intact in the photographs. Sold together as a set, these doors are well suited for restoration, a built-in cabinet, bookcase, pantry, or a custom architectural reuse project.
Style
Traditional geometric leaded glass architectural design.
Technique
Wood frame-and-panel construction fitted with individual clear glass sections joined into a geometric pattern with metal came.
Tools Used
Woodworking saws, chisels, planes, drills, clamps, glazing tools, glass cutters, soldering tools, paint brushes, and hand tools for installing the hinges and hardware.
History
Decorative leaded glass cabinet doors were commonly used to add visual detail while allowing the contents of built-in cupboards, bookcases, and display cabinets to remain visible. Salvaged pairs can be reused in cabinetry or incorporated into new architectural projects.
