Description : Salvaged architectural fireplace mantel surround constructed of wood with a dark brown finish and substantial period detailing. The design features a wide projecting mantel shelf, paneled frieze, tall fluted and beaded pilaster-style supports, curved brackets, layered molding, and substantial side returns. The original surface shows scratches, finish loss, edge wear, old mounting evidence, and other signs of removal and age, giving the piece an authentic architectural character. With a 36" x 36" fireplace opening, this large surround is suitable for restoration, reuse around a compatible firebox, or repurposing as an architectural focal point.
