This is an antique brass strike plate designed for a double-mortise latch. Measuring 5 ⅝ inches long by 1 1/4 inches wide, it features two rectangular cutouts for accommodating dual latch bolts. The brass surface shows a naturally aged patina, with some darkening and surface wear consistent with age. On the reverse side, it bears the stamped number 1521, likely a pattern or model designation.
