Description :
This antique brass canopy with threaded acorn finial was once part of an early ceiling light fixture. Measuring 5" in diameter and 6" high, it has a flared bell-shaped canopy that covers the ceiling junction box, paired with a tall threaded rod and pointed acorn finial. The exterior retains layers of old white paint, now worn and flaking, which reveals the original brass surface beneath. The inside still shows traces of the golden brass finish, darkened with age. A strong candidate for restoration, this piece can be reused in period lighting projects, adapted for new fixtures, or appreciated as decorative salvage.
